Simon Neale – Estimating Manager
Simon has over 25 years’ experience in the construction industry across Australia, South Africa, Ireland and the United Kingdom. He holds qualifications in civil engineering and project management, and is a member of the Australian Cost Engineering Society.
Simon has worked on minor and major infrastructure projects for contractors ranging from small firms to Tier One, in metropolitan, rural and regional areas. His experience covers pipelines, earthworks and ground improvement, road pavements, bridges, TBM launch shafts, micro-tunnelling, light rail, dredging, port container terminals, buildings, dams and other public utilities. He has also worked on numerous tenders across hard dollar, alliance and relationship contracts and Early Contractor Involvement phases, including as part of the multinational consortium bidding for North East Link in Melbourne.
As Estimating Manager at ECS, Simon reviews and approves the team’s estimates and reports before issue, and has led independent estimate reviews, examining quantities, methodology, contingency and escalation.
